  • Pre-K operates from 7:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Students may be dropped off between 7:15 and 7:45 a.m.

  • Our Pre-K classes are at the Opelika High School campus.

  • No, extended day services are not offered for Pre-K students.

  • No, bus transportation is not available for Pre-K students. Families are responsible for drop-off and pick-up.

  • No, there is no cost to register or attend Opelika City Schools Pre-K.

  • No, all school supplies are provided at no cost to families.

  • Yes, we ask families to complete twelve parent engagement hours throughout the school year.

  • Yes, breakfast and lunch are served daily. Families may qualify for free or reduced meal prices by completing the appropriate form. Visit our Child Nutrition page for more information.

Pre-Registration Open for the 2025-2026 School Year

We continuously accept online pre-registration applications for the upcoming school year. To apply:

  1. Visit prek.alaceed.alabama.gov (Link)
    • Select "Opelika City Schools" during the registration process
  2. Lottery drawing: March of each school year at Opelika High School
