Remote Learning Day Dec. 3 & Delayed Start Dec. 4

The Opelika Bulldogs are heading to the AHSAA Super 7 State Championship on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Protective Stadium in Birmingham! This is an extraordinary accomplishment for our student-athletes, coaches, families, and community.
The excitement surrounding this achievement is tremendous, and we want to ensure our families, staff, and students have the opportunity to support our Bulldogs during this historic moment.
After careful review, and in an effort to maintain both safety and appropriate staffing at all of our schools, we are implementing the following temporary adjustments:
- Remote Learning Day for all students and staff (Pre-K–12) on Wednesday, December 3, 2025
- Late Start for all students and staff on Thursday, December 4, 2025 (see details below).
Many of our employees are directly involved in transportation, supervision, band, cheer, or team support, and will create a substantial staffing shortage on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. This decision allows us to prioritize student safety, ensure classrooms are properly supervised, and support our school community as we come together to cheer on the Bulldogs.
Remote Learning Day for All Students & Staff (Pre-K–12) on Wednesday, December 3, 2025
Pre-K to 6th Grade:
- Students will receive paper assignments on Tuesday, December 2, 2025
- The assignment should be completed on Wednesday, December 3rd, during this remote learning day.
- The assignment must be returned by Thursday, December 4, 2025
7th to 12th Grades:
- Students will watch a video in Google Classroom on Wednesday, December 3rd.
The AHSAA Super 7 schedule means that our students, staff, and team supporters will return to Opelika in the early morning hours on Thursday, following the 7 p.m. championship game in Birmingham, therefore, we will have a late start on Thursday, December 4, 2025.
