Celebrating National Principals Month: Spotlight on Mrs. Fischer

Opelika City Schools proudly joins the nationwide celebration of National Principals Month by recognizing the leaders who guide our schools each day. Today, we shine a spotlight on Mrs. Kelli Fischer, Principal of Opelika High School and the CLAS District 4 Principal of the Year.
Mrs. Fischer has dedicated 15 years to education and has served Opelika City Schools since 2016. A graduate of Auburn University and Troy University, she is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at Auburn. Throughout her career, she has focused on strengthening school culture and community by elevating the voices of students, teachers, and parents.
At Opelika High School, Mrs. Fischer has championed initiatives such as the Dedicated Dawgs incentive program and the DIG advisory period, ensuring that every student is supported academically, socially, and emotionally. She is committed to making certain every student leaves OHS with a deep sense of belonging, purpose, and worth.
When asked what she enjoys most about serving as principal, Mrs. Fischer shared her passion for working alongside students and teachers to create a thriving school culture. She considers her proudest achievements to be those that focus on enhancing the student experience and strengthening the OHS community.
