Celebrating National Principals Month: Spotlight on Mrs. April Brock

Mrs. Brock has helped students and teachers reach their full potential for over 22 years in Opelika City Schools. Learning and growth are at the forefront of everything she does.
Mrs. Brock earned her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education in 2003, her Master of Education in Secondary Education in 2008, and her Master of Education in Administration in 2014, all from Auburn University. She began teaching seventh-grade history and later served as Opelika Middle School's assistant principal. In 2023, she was named principal of Fox Run School.
For Mrs. Brock, the most rewarding part of being a principal is watching growth happen in both students and staff. She said, "I love seeing our students grow into their full potential while supporting the teachers and staff who make that growth possible. When everyone feels valued and supported, incredible things happen in our classrooms."
She believes in creating an environment where everyone feels safe, supported, and challenged to grow. Mrs. Brock ensures everyone has the opportunity to thrive by setting high expectations, providing the tools to achieve them, and fostering a culture of trust and collaboration.
Please join us in celebrating and thanking Mrs. Brock for her exceptional leadership and her unwavering dedication to the students, staff, and families of Fox Run School.
