Dear Parents/Guardians and Students:
Welcome to a new school year at West Forest Intermediate School! The administration, faculty and staff are eager to serve you, your children and the community. information regarding school.. We feel that open and clear communication between school and home are important to the success of our educational program. West Forest Intermediate parents are our partners in the crucial job of educating the children of our wonderful community.
The students of West Forest will be challenged with a wide variety of reading, language arts, mathematics and science activities to help prepare them to become lifelong learners and productive citizens. Your child will also learn valuable social skills as he or she interacts with others in our learning community. Computers are abundant throughout the school and will provide an opportunity for teachers to enhance the teaching-learning process. Students are also provided with art, music and PE instruction. A school-wide enrichment program is provided to extend learning. In all classrooms, emphasis will be placed on actively involving students in learning experiences designed to be motivating and meaningful.
We have much to offer your child during this academic school year and we encourage you to share the learning experience with us by becoming a parent volunteer and joining the PTO. It is our goal to help prepare your child for the future. However, we need your help and support to make this become a reality. We look forward to seeing you and working with you during this important time in your child’s life.
Sincerely,

Robert B. Hunter, Principal
