Dear Parents / Guardians of Current 5th, 6th & 7th Graders:
Time is approaching for your son/daughter to start thinking about the 2012 – 2013 school year. We look forward to working with you and your child. The role you play is vital and it is important that we all work together to assist our young people in making wise decisions.
To help you and your child understand what is expected at the middle school, Mr. York, the principal of Opelika Middle School, along with the counselors will conduct several
orientation meetings. These meetings have been scheduled to provide information about our curriculum guide, course offerings, special programs, and activities for current and upcoming Opelika Middle School students.
Parent meetings for current 5th, 6th & 7th graders have also been scheduled for your convenience:
Thursday, January 26 10:00 am Opelika Housing Management Office, 1202 Samford Way
Tuesday, January 31 5:00 pm Sports Academy at Midway Plaza
Wednesday, February 1 4:00 pm God’s Glory Ministry, 1500 Bruce Avenue
Thursday, February 2 5:00 pm Covington Recreation Center
Tuesday, April 10 6:00 pm Opelika Middle School (regularly scheduled PAC meeting)
We encourage all parents to attend at least one meeting. Please mark your calendar! The information you will receive will greatly benefit the success of your child in the middle school.

Students are assigned to their middle school counselors by alphabet: Mrs. Emily Finck, A – L and Mrs. Kimberly Sparks, M – Z. We look forward to hearing from you and working with you and your child.
