Business Management and Administration This program of study prepares students for careers in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating operations to manage a successful business. Health Science, Therapeutic Service This program prepares students for a career in the health care field. Courses: Foundations of Health Science Therapeutic Services Health Science Internship Advanced Health Seminar
Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources, Plant Systems This program prepares students for careers in preserving natural resources. Courses: Horticulture Science (Horticulture I) Floral Design and Interiorscaping (Flowershop) Greenhouse Production and Management (Greenhouse I) Nursery Production and Management (Greenhouse II) Landscape Design and Management & Residential Landscape (Horticulture II, 2 credits) Sports Turfgrass Production and Management & Plant Biotechnology (Horticulture III, 2 credits)
Human Services, Family Studies and Community Services This program prepares students for careers in helping families and individuals with life services, such as personal care. Courses: Family and Consumer Sciences Food & Nutrition Fashion Parenting
Finance This program is designed to prepare students in financial and investment planning. Courses: Business Technology Applications Accounting Advanced Accounting
Diploma or Exit Options Alabama Occupational Diploma (AOD)** Only available to students with disabilities as defined under IDEA—24 required credits. Complete Career/Employment Portfolio. Prepares students for competitive employment and limited additional post-school options. Graduation Certificate Only available to students with disabilities as defined under IDEA—24 required credits or pass the Graduation Exam or Complete the Individualized Education Program (IEP). Prepares students for their posttransitional goals and may not be accepted by postsecondary institutions, military recruiters, and some employers. *Students pursuing the Alabama Occupational Diploma who complete the required AOD coursework and pass all sections of the Alabama High School Graduation Exam will be awarded the Alabama High School Diploma. **Students graduating with the AOD or CERTIFICATE are entitled to a free appropriate public education until they exit school with an AHSD or they reach age twenty-one. ALL ALABAMA HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA/EXIT OPTIONS DETAILED ABOVE ENTITLES THE RECIPIENT TO ALL GRADUATION ACTIVITIES AND CEREMONIES. Please contact the OHS guidance department for further explanation.
