Dear Parents and Students,

On behalf of the faculty and staff, I want to welcome you to Northside School! I am excited to have the opportunity to be your child’s principal this year! It is a great honor to be back in the building where I was once a student.

Your child’s teachers have been hard at work this summer in preparation for the new school year. Our theme this year is “Engage!” This brings to mind the command from NASA’s mission control as each space ship lifts off from the launch pad into space. It signals the beginning of a journey of exploration into the exciting and unknown. We want to be with your child on a wondrous journey into learning. It is our mission at Northside School to engage your child in a learning atmosphere that is both meaningful and nurturing.

For education to be meaningful, your child must be actively engaged in learning. We intend to involve each child in the journey of discovery. We will work daily to provide many opportunities for your child to find success exploring the boundaries of his/her knowledge and creativity in a safe and friendly environment. We will use the latest technology and instruction to help your child reach for the stars.

I also want to encourage parents to join us in this journey. The Northside PTO is preparing an exciting slate of activities and opportunities to help our teachers and staff this year. Come aboard and join the crew!
