June 11-13 from 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Opelika High School

For girls entering 4th-9th grades

Cost:  $35.00 on site on June 11; $30 if registered before May 25

OHS Bulldog Summer Baseball Camp

Tuesday, May 29-Friday, June 1

8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon each day

Ages 7-12

at the OHS baseball field

Cost:  $100 per child.  Space is limited to 75 players.

Pre-register no later that Friday, May 25 to reserve your spot.  Walk-ups will be accepted on the day of camp based on availability.

Lazenby wins Lee County Spelling Bee

 

For the third year in a row, Kevin Lazenby, an 8th grader at Opelika Middle School, won the Lee County Spelling Bee.  The bee was hosted by Smiths Station Jr. High.  Lazenby will advance to the state spelling bee which will be held in Birmingham on March 10.  Last year, Lazenby won the state spelling bee and advanced to the Scripps National Spelling Bee.  Congratulations Kevin and best of luck in the state bee!

Banner Unveiled to Honor OMS Soccer Team

 

The 2011 Opelika Middle School soccer team was honored at a recent OMS basketball game for recording the best record in school history (11-3). A banner was unveiled at halftime of the OMS vs. South Girard game.
