Students enrolling in the Opelika City Schools system may register any time between the

hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

 

Who can register:  To be enrolled in kindergarten this fall, a child must be five (5) years old on or before September 2 of the year the child will be entering school.  To be enrolled in first grade, a child must be six (6) years old on or before

September 2 of the year the child will be entering school. All children who attend Opelika City Schools must live within the city limits of Opelika. 

 

Student transfers:  Students transferring to the Opelika City Schools from other school systems need to first officially withdraw from their prior school system and request that transcripts be sent to the Opelika City Schools system, or bring an official withdrawal form from the prior school and we will send for transcripts. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO REGISTER:

Birth Certificate

State of Alabama Blue Certificate of Immunization

Child’s Social Security Card

Two current proofs of residency (gas, water, and electric bills accepted)

Photo identification of parent or legal guardian (driver’s license, non-driver id, military id, etc.)
