Tommy Jackson - Doing the Fine Tuning PDF Print E-mail
Coach McCracken, my head football coach at Opelika High School showed me the meaning of working hard for something.  He taught me the importance of standing for something.

Although my mother and grandmother taught me how to be a man, Coach McCracken fine-tuned me into becoming a man, stressing the importance of a college education.  I finished college in three years, thanks to the high academic standards of the Opelika City School System.

Folks often tell me that I’ve never met a stranger, but that’s the way I was raised.  I am quick to give a hug, because its one way, besides a handshake, to show that you are supporting another person and making yourself approachable.  You can truly build a bond that is stronger than a handshake or a walk-by hello, by giving a hug.

I believe you should always treat people with lots of love and respect.  If you love and respect yourself, others will do the same.  You have to set the example for how you want to be treated.  No one respects a man who does not respect himself.
