Courtney Lockhart - The Pursuit of Success PDF Print E-mail

While in the Opelika City School System, I was involved in many extracurricular activities that helped build my character, while simultaneously receiving academic preparation for attending and successfully completing college.

At Opelika High School, I was the Sports Editor of the Main Street Gazette, which prepared me to take on the position of Editor In Chief of the Tuskegee University Campus Digest for two years.

The skills I gained throughout my years in the Opelika City School System helped solidify my decision to pursue a career in medicine, and I noted these positive experiences in my personal statement when applying to medical school.

Now, as a student at Harvard Medical School, the skills that I acquired while a student in the Opelika City School System have been great assets in my pursuit of my medical degree.
