 One of the great aspects of the Opelika City School System is that it invites each student to be their best. Our schools offer courses, clubs, organizations, and teams that allow a student to pursue his or her interests, while attending regular and advanced academic classes. This allows us, as teachers, administrators and coaches, to educate the whole child – to make students well-rounded individuals.It’s inspiring to have such an involved and dedicated group of individuals supporting our efforts – raising children who will contribute positively to their community. This support system is like an equilateral triangle, where you have equal involvement and support from the community, teachers and students. We all depend upon each other for our success. Students depend on teachers for educational opportunities, teachers depend on the community for support, and the community depends on our students to become positive and productive citizens.
